What’s the best way to unwind at the end of a long day of panels, shopping, guests, and cosplay? A big dance party like the No Brand Con Dance, that’s what! And what’s better than one No Brand Con Dance? Two No Brand Con Dances!
Once the clock strikes 10:00PM on Friday and Saturday night of the con, the doors to our dance open for our attendees. DJs Drazz, Liquid86, KMKZ, and Dirty lce are bringing the heat to both the Friday night and Saturday night dances. Here’s a little bit more about these amazing DJs…
DJ KMZK
DJ KMKZ (also known as DJ Kahmahkahzi) is a DJ/Producer, who started his musical journey in Wisconsin 2012. Known for playing Hardstyle in the beginning of his career, this DJ has expanded to become a multi-genre DJ. Playing at multiple conventions throughout the Midwest, sharing the stage with headliner DJs such as Heavy Grinder and Ravine and multiple talented DJs. Also known for their nerdy song choices and throwbacks, this DJ also has an atmospheric energy that is worthy of the stage.
Liquid86
Hailing from the frozen northland of Minneapolis, MN, Liquid86 (Jason) has been throwing down on the decks for 20 years now, jumping on his first set of turntables in 2000. After attending his first Anime Convention in 2007, he set his sights on a new rave scene fueled by otaku and geeks all everywhere. Now, over a decade later, he has performed at countless events all over the country including Anime Expo, Anime Central, and Anime Detour. A master of Big Room, Electro House, and Trance mixed up with classic club bangers from the past 30 years, Liquid86 is sure to get your hands in the air and make you sweat.
Dirty Ice
Since breaking into the convention scene in 2014, you’ve heard Dirty Ice spin conventions throughout the Northern Midwest, such as Geek Kon, Kitsune Kon, and Anime Detour. Running the dance at No Brand Con, Dirty Ice turned their “iTunes playlist” dance into an influential convention rave in the midwest, attracting DJs from across the country, all while refining her own DJ skills. She’ll spin whatever suits her: a filthy blend of future and electro house, aggressive midtempo and future bass, or some classic dirty drum and bass.
Drazz
Drazz (Richard Townsend) has been working the decks since 2012. A self-proclaimed geek, his love of music stretches from EDM to classical and everything in between. …Except country (sorry!).
The styles he gravitates to are electro-house, progressive, and hardcore. One of these days he’ll work on drum & bass.
Due to a positive COVID test, Drazz has had to cancel his appearance. His DJ slots will be filled by DJs Alhon and Kade
